Alison’s luxurious bathroom with Fauxwood blinds

When it was time for Alison to update the bathroom in her self-build home, she had a luxurious finish in mind. And gorgeous Wooden blinds from Web-Blinds were the finishing touch on her whole scheme.

Alison completed her home back in 2003, but was never pleased with the initial bathroom set-up. So it was time for a change.

Bathroom window before

“The whole bathroom project took three weeks,” says Alison. “And that included new plastering, tiling, walk-in shower unit and furniture. I was very pleased with that!”

The new walk-in shower creates a lovely open feel and makes the already large space feel even bigger.

Alison's new white Wooden blind

“I chose a simple, clean scheme with light neutral colours and larger tiles to avoid too many grout lines. Because it’s a fairly big room, it could stand the big, contemporary tiles.

“Our tiler helped us with the tile design layout – it’s much more difficult to visualise than you might think.”

Alison was looking for something stylish, simple and steam resistant for the window, which would match her new glamorous bathroom. And most importantly, something to replace the dated window dressing in her old bathroom.

View of the bathroom

“We had an awful blue Roman blind that had become damp in the bathroom. I had a quick Google and came across Web-Blinds.

“Our Fauxwood blind from the site was a much more stylish alternative and I’m delighted with the finished product. They’re a perfect fit.”

In fact, Alison was spurred on by her DIY success and liked her new blind so much, she ordered two further ones for her other two bathrooms! And we can’t wait to see how those rooms turn out too!
