With January in full swing, it’s likely that some New Year’s resolutions have already fallen by the wayside. If one of yours was to banish clutter in 2015, there’s still time to turn this around, as a few small changes can make a surprisingly big difference in your home.
There are a whole host of space-saving devices on the market – from big items such as beds with built-in drawers, to smaller ones like hanging shoe tidies. Folding tables and chairs are great purchases too, as they can be stored away when they’re not in use.
You may not know this, but blinds can also help to create a clutter-free environment. If you’d like to find out more, Kirsty Martin from the Web-Blinds team has picked out a few of her favourite styles from our range.
“When your house is full to the brim, a popular solution is to convert loft space into an extra bedroom. Skylight windows are a fab feature, so if you’re blessed with some, it’s important to make the most of them. Our Velux blinds are perfect for adding a pop of colour to your décor.
“Classic Roller blinds are fantastic for smaller rooms as they are nice and compact. This means there is room on the window sill to store various bits and bobs. Here, a simple white jug and cheerful floral arrangement look lovely paired with our Seaside Stripe Scarlet Roller.
“Rollers are a really versatile option, as they can be used to cover untidy shelf units or bookcases as well. This is ideal when you have unexpected visitors call round, as all you need to do is unroll your blind and conceal any untidiness!
“And for a really neat and sleek finish, you could consider our collection of Perfect Fit blinds. These click into place between the glazing and frame of uPVC windows, with no need for drilling or screwing.
“Finally, if you go a little further in your mission to de-clutter and end up with a sleek minimalistic scheme, we’ve a selection of fresh fabrics to complement this. Sheer Vertical blinds are brilliant for creating a light and airy effect, as they allow plenty of sunlight to filter into your interior.”
