Chocolate Week

Did you know that it’s currently ‘chocolate week’? The event runs from the 14th – 20th October 2013 and here at Web-Blinds we’re all too happy to celebrate! We can’t get enough of the stuff – whether it’s smothered on a biscuit, baked in a cake, or simply enjoyed alone.

In fact, we’d even go so far as saying that we’re almost as enthusiastic about chocolate as we are about interiors… Regular readers of our blog will know that is no mean feat. Naturally, we enjoy combining our two great loves; and fortunately for us, chocolate works just as well in your home as it does on your plate.

Chocolate tones are wonderful for injecting a feeling of warmth into your décor and are the perfect choice for this time of year when the temperature starts to drop. And just as there are countless chocolate dishes to enjoy, there are plenty of ways to use the shade in your design scheme. Luckily, Heather Evans from the Web-Blinds team is on hand to offer some advice.

Brown Roman Blind

“As the name suggests, Chocolate Drop in our Roman blinds range almost looks good enough to eat. And it’s not only beautiful, but practical too, as the fully-lined style is great for keeping things snug over the winter months. For a really tactile effect, team your new window dressing with varying textures, such as wicker furniture in complementary colours.

Brown Patterned Roman Blind

“Alternatively, if you would like to introduce a pretty pattern to your room, Chocolate Fondant in our Roller blinds selection is ideal. The delicious chocolaty background is enough to make your mouth water, while the contemporary floral detailing provides a modern take on a classic trend. Choosing sleek, minimalistic ornaments for your window sill will complete the look.

Finally, if all this talk of chocolate has made you feel peckish, then head over to our Facebook page now for your chance to win a scrumptious Thorntons hamper. Good luck!Thorntons hamper
