Striking the balance between stylish and family friendly is no mean feat, but when Emily had the chance to overhaul her living room, she rose to the challenge. Have a look at how she achieved a fresh new look, finished off with shutters from Web-Blinds.
We love seeing our shutters make a difference in real homes, and when those homes are features in magazines, then that makes us even prouder! So when Emily’s living room popped up in Style at Home and online on Ideal Home, we were pretty excited. Here’s what she had to say…
“For a long time we had curtains at our living room windows, but I just wasn’t happy with them,” recalls Emily. “We live on a main road and when they were open I felt that we had no privacy, but at the same time, who wants to live with their curtains closed all the time?
“The curtains were cream and weren’t particularly practical with kids running around – they’d begun to look grubby and I was fed up of having them cleaned. They needed to change!”
Having finally reached the decision to give the entire living room a makeover, Emily looked to Web-Blinds for some help. She wanted something that was not only practical but stylish too – something that would complement features such as her striking painted walls and bold cushions.
