Floral fabrics without the chintz

As February draws to a close, so does the fresh floral theme that we’ve been focusing on. This was inspired by flowers being a popular Valentine’s gift. And when it comes to your home, florals have a classic appeal which stands the test of time long after cupid’s busiest day has been and gone.

Over the past month, we’ve explored lots of different fabulous floral fabrics; from exotic plants, to hothouse blooms and pretty pink buds. One of the things these designs have in common is that they feature eye-catching colours.

But if you prefer muted tones to bright and bold shades, the good news is that you can still give your interior a naturally elegant makeover. Kirsty Martin from the Web-Blinds team has picked out a selection of beautiful blinds which prove that florals don’t have to be chintzy.

“Monochrome palettes are everywhere this season, so if you find a floral print in striking black and white hues, that’s what we call a fashionable double whammy! This Minstrel White Roller blind is just the ticket and available in our white roller blinds collection.

Charcoal greys also work well in monochrome spaces. As the name suggests, our Cottage Garden Dove Roman blind references traditional country gardens, while the soft grey colour-way brings the pattern bang up to date.

“Our Delightful Grey Roller blind does exactly what it says on the tin too. The stunning silhouette detailing has a ‘delightfully’ contemporary feel. It shows off a chorus of stunning songbirds, along with timeless roses.

“And for a really luxurious look, you could inject a splash of silver into your grey scheme. Metallics have been a hit on the catwalks and our silver Roman blinds are a great way to introduce the trend to your room.

“This Pretty Petals Silver blind from our new Romans collection is another lovely option for those who fancy adding a hint of ‘heavy metal’ to their surroundings. The sleek interconnecting petals create a gorgeous geometric effect.”
