Gender-neutral nurseries can be hard to decorate. Luckily we’ve plenty of gorgeous blinds that make the whole thing easy. Take a look at Helen’s stylish choice.
“When we found out I was expecting our first child, we decided not to find out the sex,” explains Helen. “The nursery (previously our office) was the only room left to do up, and although we wanted it to be neutral, we didn’t want it to be bland.
“I bought a cheap second hand changing unit and set to work doing it up. I decided I wanted the scheme to include African animals as my father-in-law lives in South Africa. After two long holidays with my husband over there and both being animal lovers, the theme was quite meaningful to us.
“I had to order the stencils from America – but then I am quite fussy!”

“My Mum made the quilt in the cot and my sister and the friends who came to my baby shower made the bunting. And the finishing touch is the blind. The quality is great and measuring and fitting was so easy. We’re delighted.”
