How to – finish off your child’s room with blinds

Your child’s room is a great place to have fun with interior design. Think bright splashes of pink, blue, yellow and everything in between. Here are our top tips to picking out children’s Roman blinds.

Out of this world

Use blinds to experiment with pattern in a child’s bold room. Lots of us would have reservations about painting spaceships all over a wall – but it’s 3-2-1 lift off when it comes to blinds! And they’re much easier to change when their tastes change.

Speaking of space, if you’ve a budding astronaut on your hands, they’ll love this Space Man Bright Green fabric. Oh and it’s a blackout fabric too, making it great for restless little sleepers.

Starry night

Of course patterns don’t have to be bold if you don’t want them to be. Customer Jayne dressed her little girl, Darcey’s nursery windows in a beautiful Roller blind patterned with pastel coloured stars. The result is pretty as a picture, and features a blackout coating too.

Soft glow

For a pretty glow at the window, try a Pleated blind. This girlie Ebb Rose fabric is perfect for a little girl, but will have teenie-boppers swooning too. Pleated blinds are great layered with another blind too – try one with a patterned blackout blind for a flexible approach to light control.

Plain and simple

Of course, a child’s room doesn’t have to mean bright colours and highly patterned blinds. Customer Laura chose a crisp white Roman blind, and chose to add colour in other ways. A pretty pastel playhouse in the corner and metallic spots on a chest of drawers adds a splash of fun to this room.
