How to – make the most of your conservatory this spring

Conservatories are lovely rays of sunshine as the warmer months come round. Here are our top tips to make the most of yours.

Spruce up with a spring clean

The biggest reason conservatories become no-go areas in the winter is heat loss. All that glass can make things rather chilly and that’s where blinds come in.

Eventide Pistachio

With that in mind, conservatories can become dumping grounds in the colder months, so before you do anything, give it the once over. Pick up scattered toys, clear through clutter and give everything a good clean. Your conservatory will instantly become a place you want to spend more time in.

Go thermal

Conservatory blinds are a great way to get ready for the warmer months. And of course, if a conservatory becomes chilly in the winter, it’s more than likely to suffer from stifling heat in the summer. But fret not, there’s a really clever system called EcoPleat.

EcoPleat blinds are Pleated blinds with a honeycomb structure. These act as little air pockets to keep it cool in the summer, and warm in the winter. It’s a win-win.

Go Perfect Fit

Perfect Fit blinds are a conservatory’s best friend. The system is oh-so-clever, with a frame clipping into your uPVC windows without the need for drilling. This means small windows can have their own blind, and still look neat and tidy.

Customer Naomi knew what she was doing when she was dressing her conservatory windows. The striking blue shade makes a serious statement, while the Perfect Fit designs allows her to still have her blinds down while her patio doors are open.

Go cosy

Roman blinds create a pretty cosy feel too. And because they’re available in such lovely designs, you can really personalise your space too. We’ve chosen neutral ones here for our conservatory, but you could try a bold floral print, a geometric beauty or a dotty design.
