Our elves may be finishing off the last orders now the Christmas blinds cut-off has passed, but in our homes, things are well and truly ramping up. Take a look at our top tips to get your home looking super festive and guest-ready in a jiffy (no trees needed).
Fairy light it up
When it comes to fairy lights, our motto is sprinkle liberally. But they aren’t just for the tree. They’ll be just as at home on the mantelpiece, around picture frames or even, as we have here, hung artfully along a dressing table.
Mix up the pics
You’ve probably got a few picture frames scattered around your home already. So for a Christmas-in-a-hurry solution, swap out your family photos and art for a while and replace them with festive motifs. Old Christmas cards work well, while the internet is a wealth of free images if you fancy something specific.
Seriously snug
This scene is a Christmas lover’s dream. But it’s not just the tree that makes things feel festive. Look at all the other snuggly touches – fairy lights in the log fire (just for decoration of course), a sheepskin rug to frame the presents, and the most inviting looking tray of hot chocolate and cookies. We can almost see ourselves there.
Berry good
A wreath will make your home feel like a Christmas garden. But for an even quicker fix grab some merry berries and let them shine in a simple vase. This Scandi room is oh-so cosy with just the tiniest nod to the party season.
